What do we do with your information?

Breakdown Direct does not make available your personal information to others except to our insurer(s) and business partners, including third parties who provide us with services to enable us to administer the sale of insurance policies and deliver what you have asked us for. Look for the padlock symbol at the bottom of your web browser during the quotation process. This means that the link is secure and is using a 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to transfer information from your computer to us. We also employ appropriate technical security measures to protect your personal information and ensure that unauthorised persons do not access it.

    Complaints

Customer satisfaction is a key aim for Breakdown Direct. We have a complaints handling procedure in place to ensure that you receive a quick and fair response to any complaints you may have about our service or that of our insurer(s) and business partners, who are all members of the General Standards Insurance Council.

You will be kept informed of what is happening and we will do everything we can to help you. In the first instance your comments should be referred to us via comments@breakdowndirect.co.uk

It is our policy wherever possible to resolve any complaints within 5 working days. If this is not possible, we will keep you informed of progress.

We expect the majority of complaints will be quickly and satisfactorily resolved at this stage. If however your complaint is one of the few, which cannot be satisfactorily resolved, and it relates to a claim or service provided under an insurance policy, we will direct your complaint to the General Manager of the appropriate insurer.

In the unlikely event that you are still dissatisfied with their response you can write to the Financial Ombudsman at the address below:
